Gladesville Hornsby Football Association (GHFA) is responsible for the management and promotion of football in the Gladesville-Hornsby area. GHFA has over 14,000 players from 34 member Clubs located In the north western Sydney. Providing all people the chance to play football, the association caters for both males and females with local competitions from Under 6s through to Over 45s. The GHFA Premier League provides elite quality football for local players and fans. Under the 'Football4All' program, a Special Needs program is delivered through the West Pennant Hills / Cherrybrook Football Club allowing children with intellectual disabilities to enjoy the benefits of a team sport environment. The GHFA Academies provide structured training for local Club players that complement their participation at Club level. The U 13 to 16 Academy teams participate in the Football NSW Regional League, whilst the Skills Acquisition Program for the Under 9 to Under 12 kids provides a clear, professionally delivered development opportunity for young footballers in NSW. GHFA Spirit FC is the elite representative club aligned with GHFA and plays in the PS4 NPL Mens 2 Competition run by Football NSW. The senior squad consists of U18, U20 and First Grade, whilst the Youth teams are U12, U13, U14 and U15. With its home ground and offices at Christie Park in Macquarie Park, (Sydney), the association is structured with a Board of Directors primarily responsible for strategy and governance supported by the General Manager, coaching and administrative staff, and a number of committees covering the various functions of the association.
