GLB, has access to a number of quarries located around QLD to service all project requirements. At these locations GLB produces high quality Road Base, Railway Ballast and Embankment Capping, RSS Wall material and Aggregates, all to appropriate QLD Department of Transport and Main Roads(TMR) & QLD Rail (QR) Specifications. Over the years GLB has manufactured and supplied quarry materials to major infrastructure jobs around Southern and Central QLD, including recently manufacturing and supplying to flood repair roadworks, aerodrome construction, and over 1,200,000 tonnes of TMR & QR Specification Materials to one of the largest railway infrastructure projects in QLD. With many years of earthmoving, civil works, haulage logistics, quarrying and bulk earthworks experience, Ged Byrne, together with a dedicated team of Engineers and Supervisors with a combined total industry experience of over 150 years has enabled GLB to build up an enviable reputation for cost competitiveness and timely completion of both major and minor projects, to the utmost satisfaction of our growing client base. Project Delivery has been via GLB directly as Principal Contractor as well as on a Subcontractor basis to major alliance projects and other substantial works, including civil/site works for commercial and general building construction.
