GLOBAL HAULAGE RESOURCES LIMITED was incorporated in April 2004 as a product of structured collaboration between the Alake of Egbaland, HRM Oba Adedotun GBADEBO, and a private equity firm, VENTURES & TRUSTS LIMITED (V&T). The aim was to deliver world class haulage services to multinationals and large corporate organizations in Nigeria. The company has a strong commitment to safe driving and in compliance with the requirement of the FRSC, has set up a full fledge safety and training department, headed by a senior manager. This unit is responsible for formulating and implementing safety policies and standards, drivers training and retraining, drivers’ health management and drivers’ pre-and-post employment medical tests among others. The unit is contributing to the organizational goals of zero-accidents. Our commitment to safety in truck driving is further exemplified through our recruitment process which includes compulsory pre-employment drivers’ medical tests for blood sugar, tuberculosis, vision acuity, alcohol and drug tests. These tests are also conducted on regular basis after employment to ascertain the true state of drivers’ health. The recruitment process is climaxed with a driving test, under the supervision of certified truck drivers’ trainers. These are all indications of the importance we attach to safety and safe driving and we intend to continue maintaining these standards.
