Go Connemara

The structure of Go Connemara is a business partnership registered with the Companies Registration Office. It was founded in 2004 to raise the profile of businesses and communities in North West Connemara, to sustain small businesses and amenities within the area. It is run on a completely voluntary basis by a committee of twelve people who are all in business along the 85km Loop which includes Maam, Maam Cross, Leenane, Killary, Lettergesh, Tullycross, Tully, Renvyle, Derryinver, Letterfrack, Kylemore, the Inagh Valley and Recess in north west Connemara. Since its beginning various projects have been undertaken including the setting up of the Connemara Mussel Festival in Tullycross (Gerry Coyne) and the Rough Diamond Event (Mike Laffey, Letterfrack). Marketing of the region, compiling information of interest such as garden trails, Christian Heritage, Green Coast Beaches within the region and improving the region is ongoing.
