GTS is on a journey to become a truly learning-centred school which strives to nurture the individual talents of all its learners. Everything we do will be to achieve our core purpose, ‘to inspire confident learners who will have the skills, qualities and qualifications to thrive in our changing world’. We will endeavour to deliver a personalised provision that challenges all our learners, which they will co-construct with talented staff. We will develop a range of personal and learning skills that will enable them to think independently and enjoy their learning journey throughout their school career and beyond. We will be a family of healthy, happy learners ‘where error is welcomed as a learning opportunity’ and where everyone ‘can feel safe to learn, re-learn, and explore knowledge and understanding’*. Everyone should have their own Dreams; Believe in themselves and have someone who believes in them; and who Achieves qualifications …… and so much more. GTS will be at the heart of the local community, helping to meet the diverse needs of our learners with the support of all our stakeholders, especially our parents. We will ensure that learning and teaching is informed by our own best practice, and we will be able to take innovative risks with confidence.
