Greater Hudson Heritage Network

GHHN is the statewide, go-to service organization for responsive assistance, interpretation, and collections care. Our program services are local, professional, and statewide. We offer grants, workshops, webinars, consultations, technical assistance, a resource network, and professional development opportunities to advance the work of historical societies, historic house museums, heritage centers, historic sites, archives, and libraries. GHHN, in partnership with the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA), administers the NYSCA/GHHN Conservation Treatment Grant Program which provides support for treatment procedures by professional conservators to aid in stabilizing and preserving objects in collections of museums, historical, and cultural organizations in New York State. The NYSCA/GHHN Collection Needs Assessment Program offers two grants: Site Assessment Grant – to support professional services for a collections consultant to come to an organization for a half-day site visit focusing on a collections related topic; and Supplies Grant - applicants who have consulted with an appropriate professional may request funds to purchase much needed collections management supplies which are critical to the stewardship of their collections. Greater Hudson Heritage Network serves the museum and history communities as a catalyst to: *Advance professional standards and practices. *Build the capacity of organizations to meet their missions, and *Create a network of effective and professional stewards of regional history and culture- now and in the future
