GRIPMetal Solutions

GRIPMetal™ is a revolutionary new manufacturing material that consists of a series of consistent small-scale metal hooks that are uniformly distributed on thin gauge sheet metal. The hooks allow for other softer materials to mechanically bond with GRIPMetal™ providing improved mechanical properties of created composites even without the use of adhesives. The composites can be created by simple pressure bonding or molding. GRIPMetal™ material can be successfully bonded with various materials such as thermoplastic materials, fiber reinforced polymers, phenolic, performance polymers, graphite, fiber-based materials (Kevlar, glass fiber, carbon fiber, friction material), coatings, concrete, and a wood. GRIPMetal’s ability to bond instantly to almost any material makes it the most versatile MECHANICAL bonding technology available today. This material aims at replacing or reinforcing traditional adhesive bonding between two materials by utilizing the proprietary technology. The hooks are precisely formed to specification, available in a range of hook heights up to as much as 4 times the base material thickness and they can be produced in various different geometries.
