Weve always loved stories. Writing them, reading them, watching them brought to life through work in theatre and with brands. For a large part of our careers story had not really been something we had consciously thought about in the workplace. That was the fun thing, the thing we did outside of the office through my writing and performance. Of course stories were in fact always integral to the work being done in the office too learning, leadership, presenting, connecting, collaborating, brand values All of these areas and more employed stories and storytelling. When we started as Grow the People, we thought we could be all things to all people, but within six months we realised that the one thing we knew best was story. It was the thing that drove us, that got us excited, and its uses were infinite. Stories and storytelling are the way we see and understand the world, they are the very thing that makes us human. Something has happened over the last five years. Without really noticing, Grow the People has become Grow the Story. Were constantly growing the way we use stories, from coaching others to structure their messages and presentations into compelling content, to creating events that build around a strong story centre.
