Habitat for Humanity of Palm Beach County (HFHPBC) builds strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter. Founded in 1986, HFHPBC has served deserving families in our community by working in partnership to provide affordable housing. Since our inception, we have built over 200 homes and repaired and preserved an additional 50 owner-occupied homes. Partner families must fall in the low to very low income range, making 30 -80% of the median income earned in Palm Beach County. Once need is determined, future homeowners volunteer 400 sweat equity hours and attend 8 weeks of home preparedness / financial literacy classes, in order to be issued a 30 year, no interest mortgage.
