Harveez was thought as an Observatory of worldwide Ingenuity. It comes from Jugaaddict, an association created in 2015 by three engineers of Life Sciences, and its aim is to harvest any new opportunities to tackle today's food challenge. Convinced of the major role of ingenuity in bringing responses to new alimentary models, we are four students from AgroParisTech (Paris school of agronomy and bio sciences) and we chose to take a year-off to meet with innovative entrepreneurs. From september 2017 to august 2018, we will travel in Africa and South America, searching for those local entrepreneurs who have been able to see the opportunities within the environmental constraints they had. There, we will work with them to spread their ideas and innovations: By changing our way of thinking, these new models could give to each of us access to a safer and more healthy food, produced in a sustainable way. This quest for a more frugal innovation is inspired by the "Jugaad"; this Hindi word describes the capacity to "make more with less" while taking into account the environment. Our project is supported by Navi Radjou, innovation and leadership strategist and co-author of Jugaad Innovation, as well as our partners.
