Head On Photo Festival is a major platform for discovering new talent, re-discovering established artists and exploring new technologies and ideas through exhibitions, workshops, discussion and collaboration with other events. At the heart of the festival are the Head On Photo Awards in Portrait, Landscape, and Student categories. Since the establishment of these, the Foundation has awarded over $600,000 in cash and product. The Foundation also runs an extensive annual program of public engagement and education which includes workshops, seminars, artists' talks, projections and portfolio reviews aimed at practising photographers and the general public.
