Heartland Hope Mission

Heartland Hope Mission is a faith-based 501(c)3 charitable organization. Our mission is to be more than a pantry by providing clients with resources to be food secure & self-sufficient in a hope-filled environment. Heartland Hope Mission helps working poor families by providing them with life's most basic staples including: a week’s supply of food, clothing, hygiene items, SNAP application assistance, community referrals, diapers & job resources. Because Heartland Hope Mission is a faith based organization, we offer an optional encouraging word & prayer. When a family is trying to make a decision between food & an electric bill, they are often unable to think past their current situation. Heartland Hope Mission provides food, hygiene items & clothing to help alleviate these immediate pressures. By doing so, we give hope, so these families can consider options to improve their long-term condition. We meet with our clients one-on-one to connect them to resources to become self-sufficient. Many of the families we serve have never had to ask for assistance. Our intake process helps identify other resources to help the families work toward self-sufficiency. We can help families apply for SNAP (food stamps) & approve additional assistance for those in temporary crisis situations. Heartland Hope Mission works to connect our clients to job opportunities. Employers are invited to come to Heartland Hope Mission to provide job information, application assistance & first interviews to our clients. In addition, we have a jobs board that is updated on a weekly basis. Other agencies also come onsite to provide job & career path assistance. Heartland Hope Mission relies on over 6,000 volunteers to serve over 45,000 people today. Our vision is to help create a strong community where all families are hopeful & self-sufficient. Together we can prevent families from becoming homeless, ensure families have access to food & help families work toward self-sufficiency!
