The Hellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer, "Alma Zois" was founded in 1988 by breast cancer survivors, who aspired to offer to recently diagnosed women, the necessary emotional support for dealing with their illness and achieving a better quality of life. Each member of Alma Zois has dealt with the disease and the Board of Directors consists of 7 breast cancer survivors. The Associations' vision is to provide to every woman in Greece the Information on breast cancer prevention and early detection, as well as to offer psychosocial support and information about their labor rights and social benefits to women who deal with the disease.
