Established in 1920, Hillcroft College is a vibrant and innovative residential college for women of 19 and above. Originally called ‘The Residential College for Working Women’ the college’s mission was to answer the needs and ambitions of working class women whose daily lives were limited to toiling in factories and kitchens, but who aspired to change their lives through education. Set in a mansion within 3 acres of secluded gardens on the outskirts of London, Hillcroft is a quiet haven where women of all ages and cultures can relax, chat, stay and study together. Barriers are removed by providing lots of financial support for tuition, accommodation and on-site child care.
