Hinds Hospice, founded by Nancy Hinds, R.N., provides expert end-of-life hospice medical care in Fresno, Madera, and Merced counties, since 1981. OUR MISSION The mission of Hinds Hospice is to uphold the dignity and ease the suffering of the terminally ill while supporting their loved ones, and those who are grieving. OUR PROGRAMS Hinds Hospice operates the only freestanding six-bed hospice home in Fresno, Madera, and Merced Counties. When patients'​ symptoms become too complicated to be cared for in their home, the Hinds Hospice home in Fresno offers around-the-clock nursing care. The Hinds Hospice Center for Grief and Healing is unique in that it serves not only hospice families, but also the community at large with grief support services. We offer one-on-one grief counseling, group support specific to the type of loss, monthly grief mailings, or someone to listen on the phone. The news of an unborn baby being diagnosed with a life-limiting condition is heartbreaking. Angel Babies offers a perinatal hospice program designed for families who have received this diagnosis, offering support and comfort during pregnancy and providing ideas for creating loving memories. Children require different care than adults, so our innovative pediatric hospice program allows for concurrent treatment along with hospice services.
