The Department of Economics, University of Brawijaya, was first established in 1963 where in this department there are 3 study programs, namely Development Economics, Islamic Economics, and Finance Banking. The establishment of this department was accompanied by the establishment of Himpunan Mahasiswa Jurusan Ilmu Ekonomi, also known as HMJIE FEB UB. HMJIE FEB UB is the only student association in the Department of Economics. Moreover, HMJIE FEB Aims to accommodate aspirations, develop potential, and unify economics students.
