We are Ho Etsu Taiko. A collective of musicians with a fresh take on the art of Japanese drumming. We preserve and pioneer. Taiko is a fundamental pillar of Japanese culture. We respect taiko’s rich traditions while pioneering collaborations that push the envelope. Our deep Chicago roots ground our work in a variety of musical styles, from jazz to Latin and hip hop. We entertain and energize at cultural showcases, festivals, private events and more. Our enthusiastic take on the art of kumi daiko captivates audiences of every type, from crowded streets of marathon spectators to intimate rooms of wedding guests. We work with good people doing good things.
