Our brand's roots can be traced back to 1928 when our founder, Mr Tan Gim Teh came to Singapore from Zhangzhou, China. As a street hawker, he sold a few snacks based on homemade recipes including the delicious wuxiang (five-spice rolls). When his son took over the business in 1964, he added more products to the range. Based in Xiao Po (North Bridge Road), his shop made famous a new category of snacks now known as wu xiang xia bing (or alternatively, ngoh hiang hae biah). With over 80 years of experience, we continue to use original ingredients coupled with modern technology to bring out the authentic flavour that generations have come to love.
