As a street hawker, he sold a few snacks based on homemade recipes including the delicious wuxiang (five-spice rolls). When his son took over the business in 1964, he added more products to the range. Based in Xiao Po (North Bridge Road), his shop made famous a new category of snacks now known as wu xiang xia bing (or alternatively, ngoh hiang hae biah).
