Sited at Haven's Caister-On Sea Holiday Park and we have endeavoured to make Wibur as accessible as we can, within the space constraints of a Static caravan, whilst hoping to give a homely feel that is comfortable for all users, not just those who have more physical challenges to deal with. Access to Wilbur is via a level paved walkway to a ramp towards the rear, and wrap-around terrace. Entry to the accommodation is through a 1 and 1/2 width side door. There is smooth, level access throughout, with sliding doors to bedrooms and wet room. Some of our guests have found access to the wet room quite tight and have brought their own wheel in shower chairs with them, but if you would prefer we may be able to arrange for the hire from local mobility equipment stockists, or you may wish to arrange yourself from 2 suppliers that are very local to the holiday park. For bathing there is a large wheel-in wet room, thermostatic controlled "super powerful" shower with extra long hose and a free-standing shower chair. Don't take our word for it on the nature of the shower, check out our guest book reviews. It seems to have become a very popular feature! 😁. There are fixed hand rails in the shower area, and by the sink, with 1 fixed and one drop down rail by the toilet. Please note, that although the kitchen can be accessed easily by a wheelchair, the units are standard height for use by an able bodied person. The dining room / living area is open plan with a 32 inch TV, DVD player, Bluetooth speaker and DAB radio, Wilbur is double glazed and fully centrally heated with radiators to all rooms, and also has a gas fire in the living area. New for 2021 - Following our successful 2020 Crowdfunding event, we will be providing a beach wheelchair for use by our guests.... watch this space for news of it's arrival!
