Homer Electric Association, Inc. (HEA) is a member-owned electric utility serving the central and southern areas of the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska. The Cooperative provides affordable, reliable, quality energy services to its members and is governed by a nine-member elected Board of Directors. The 3,166-square-mile service territory includes the communities of Sterling, Soldotna, Kenai, Nikiski, Homer, and also the south side of Kachemak Bay from Halibut Cove to Nanwalek. The cooperative has over 33,000 meters on its system and maintains 2,407 miles of energized lines. HEA owns and operates three generation plants on the Kenai Peninsula.
