Together they have created programs and protocols that have increased safety and quality of care; one program successfully reduced hospital acquired aspiration pneumonia by 69%. Through the development of these programs, they began using the Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallow (FEES), and it quickly became a vital part of their practice. Houston Mobile FEES was started to provide more patients with dysphagia access to this highly beneficial tool.
