Furthermore, Húsasmiðjan runs 10 garden centers under the brand name Blómaval associated with Húsasmidjan, as well as 5 wholesale stores Ískraft (specialty stores for electrical professionals) and H.G. Guðjónsson (kitchen fittings). 32 units in total. Húsasmidjan is a market-oriented sales and services company that provides, sells and distributes goods and services. It serves professionals as well as the general public all over the country and provides it´s customers with complete solutions for the construction business and runs it‘s own warehouse and distribution center designed to serve the whole country. Húsasmiðjan is part of BYGMA Gruppen Since 2012 Húsasmiðjan is part of BYGMA Gruppen, one of the leading supplier of construction and DIY products in Scandinavia (see further: www.bygma.dk) with 93 business units and 2.100 employees in Scandinavia. Milestones 1956 Húsasmiðjan established by Mr. Snorri Halldórsson, born 1911 at Magnússkógar in the "Dalir"​ of Western Iceland. An active master builder he built many renowned buildings in Reykjavík such as the National theatre and the University cinema.
