On July 22, 2008, PKPU was registered with the United Nations as an NGO with a "Special Consultative Status with the Economic Social Council". On January 29, 2010, PKPU was officially registered as a National Social Organization based on Minister of RI Decree No. 08 / Huk / 2010, and on October 8, 2010 registered with the European Union with the EuropeAid registration number ID No. 2010-CSD-1203198618. After spinning off in early 2016, PKPU focused on managing humanitarian funds, and by the end of 2016 changed its name to PKPU Human Initiative.
