Institute of Technology, Tralee (IT Tralee) was established in 1977 as a Regional Technical College. ITT comprises of three schools, namely; The School of Business, Computing and Humanities. The School of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. The School of Health and Social Sciences. The institute is spread over two campuses. The South Campus in Tralee Town in the area of Clash. The North Campus, located 2km north west of Tralee town in the area of Dromtacker. The institute caters for approximately 3,500 full time students on a daily basis during the academic term. The institute is the main third level education centre in Kerry and is one of the key educational institutes in the south-west of the country. IT Tralee has a strong relation with industry and has an on campus incubation centre, which feeds into the adjacent Kerry Technology Park.
