we believe that corporate employees want to have a direct hand in bringing about societal and environmental change. yet there are limited opportunities available to engage them on the front line. traditionally, creating large scale societal and environmental impact has been the responsibility of governments and non-profit organisations. universities have been the hot bed of research and talent. and corporations have focused on offering products & services through for-profit business models. individuals, as employees have had the task of fulfilling their organisations’ objectives without the opportunity to necessarily exert themselves in causes that are important to them. all of these groups have worked in silos, disengaged from each other. we believe that by breaking down barriers between these different groups, a more efficient and effective approach to solving societal & environmental challenges can be implemented. impact lab was established as a not-for-profit to build links and increase collaboration between the different groups in order to push forward game-changing ideas and ventures.
