Infinite Flow - A Wheelchair Dance Company based in Los Angeles, CA, is America's first professional wheelchair ballroom dance company, and has a mission to break artistic and social barriers through excellence and innovation in wheelchair dance performance. We launched in Jan 2015 and officially became a nonprofit 501(c)3 on March 25, 2015. Our dance base is ballroom partner dancing and other commercial dance genres, and our focus lies in the following areas: 1. Performance: Producing and presenting professional wheelchair dance performances of the highest levels of artistry resulting in an inspired, enriched, and inclusive global community 2. Cultivation: Give wheelchair dancers (of all ages) the opportunity to reach their full artistic potential through dance training and performance in an inclusive environment of wheelchair and ambulatory dancers 3. Community Outreach: Delivering dance instruction to an underrepresented group of wheelchair and power-chair users, in an inclusive environment of wheelchair and ambulatory dancers of all ages. 4. Education: Developing a comprehensive wheelchair dance teacher training program. Creating an universal language of wheelchair social dancing. Infinite Flow is led by Founder/CEO & Artistic Director Marisa Hamamoto, a professional ballroom dancer who was temporarily paralyzed from the neck down with a rare spinal cord disease. Professional dance company members include Marisa, Adelfo Cerame Jr, a professional wheelchair body builder; and Mia Schaikewitz, star of the Sundance Channel’s Push Girls, among a growing roster. The company is available for both public and private performances, events, instruction, and inspirational & motivational speaking.
