Institut International de Lancy (IIL) offers challenging and inspiring programmes in its English, French and Bilingual sections. A strong emphasis on languages facilitates bilingual communication throughout the School and aims for a bilingual outcome for all pupils. The 1500 students, aged 3 to 19, are grouped in sections ensuring that a warm, family atmosphere is maintained throughout. An IB World School, IIL is authorised to teach the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). In addition, it is a Cambridge University examination centre and students sit for IGCSE examinations on campus. As a member of the GESBF (Groupement des Ecoles Suisses qui préparent au Baccalauréat Français) and under the aegis of the Academie de Grenoble, the School prepares students for the French Baccalaureate and for the Diplôme National du Brevet. The IIL approach aims to cultivate an open-minded attitude, to instil the process of reflection as a matter of course and to encourage principled, ethical behaviour in every student.
