Enka Schools Overview The school was founded in 1996 as a private not-for-profit center of educational excellence in the cultural capital of the country that would provide an inspiration and a model for schools both within Turkey and throughout the international educational community. Enka is a private Pre K 12 coeducational day school located in Istanbul, Turkey. The school is accredited by and follows the Turkish Ministry of Education (MEB) principals and regulations. All students will receive a Turkish Lise Diploma. In addition to this, Enka is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). Enka is authorized by the IB to offer the Primary Years Program (PYP) and the Diploma Program (DP), is in candidacy stage for the Middle Years Program. Vision & Mission The mission of Enka Schools is to lay the intellectual and behavioral foundations that will prepare and motivate each individual to continuously develop to the full extent of his/her capacities, to instill the mental and moral habits fostering freedom of thought and action in themselves and others - irrespective of their origins, and to seek to be leading citizens of Turkey and their countries of origin.
