JAG Schools

The James A. Garfield Local Schools serves the village of Garrettsville, Freedom and Nelson Townships. The District is among the highest achieving schools in northeast Ohio, offering outstanding academics and extra curricular activities. The Garfield G-men are home to a rich tradition of educational excellence. This is achieved with strong community support from groups such as the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), Most Valuable Parents (MVP), JAG All Sports Boosters and JAG Band Boosters. Other groups with strong ties to our schools include the Garrettsville Area Chamber of Commerce, Lions and Rotary Clubs. Our Vision Beginning with the class of 2022, 90% of Garfield Gradates will participate in higher education or career training, and by 2026, 70% of our graduates will complete their education or training.
