juwi South Africa is part of the international juwi Group, one of the world’s leading and most experienced renewable energy companies in the world. In South Africa, we offer project development (PD), engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), operations & maintenance (O&M), as well as Hybrid IQ, a unique juwi technology designed to intelligently synchronise and manage multiple sources of energy supply, including renewables, at mines. Our business activities are mainly focused on solar energy (utility-scale and commercial & industrial) and onshore wind energy. We work closely with our clients to understand their unique needs and implement renewable energy solutions that are economical and reliable. To date, we have realised around 1000 wind turbines and 1,700 solar plants, with a combined installed capacity of 4,8 gigawatts (GW). In South Africa, we have built eight utility-scale solar plants totalling 432MW. In addition, juwi South Africa participates in the Government's Small IPP Programme and constructs large embedded Solar PV projects that deliver cost competitive electricity to a range of commercial and industrial end-users. The juwi group was established in 1996 in Rhineland-Palatinate/Germany. Since the end of 2014, Mannheim based utility, MVV Energie AG, has been a partner and majority shareholder. juwi has around 850 employees worldwide with branches on all continents and is actively engaged in projects all over the globe.
