JX Nippon Chemical Texas Incorporated ( JX NCTI ) is a part of ENEOS Holdings, Inc., specialty chemical division. Since JX NCTI started operations out of the Pasadena Texas facility in 1993 under the name Nisseki Chemical Texas Incorporated, JX NCTI has distinguished itself globally into the two specialty chemical businesses of ENB (Ethylidene Norbornene) & SAS (Specialty Aromatic Solvent). Both divisions are manufactured in Texas, but sold and distributed globally. Onsite there are two production units of ENB (Ethylidene Norbornene) & SAS (Specialty Aromatic Solvent) within the specialty chemical division under the Oil & Energy business sector (JXTG Nippon Oil & Energy Corporation). The first specialty chemical business within JX NCTI is SAS (Specialty Aromatic Solvents), located on the Pasadena Texas site. SAS’s product line is globally recognized in the markets they serve, the products include; high voltage capacitor fluid, heat transfer fluid, compressor wash oil, carbonless copy paper solvent, flame retardant solvents, solvents for fertilizer and insecticide applications, low odor/ low VOC formulary solvent applications, and proprietary chemistries that solve unmet needs of the customer. The second specialty chemical business onsite is ENB (Ethylidene Norbornene). ENB is primarily used in the production of certain grades of EPDM rubber.
