Kako Earth

Kako Earth is about preserving indigenous rights but also about the Siekopai, a minority ancestral people in Ecuador, with a culture and wisdom rooted in the Amazon Rainforest, their ancestral land. If their territory disappears, they will disappear. Today, in the territories of Siekoya Remolino and Sewaya, a total of forty-two thousand hectares remains free of any extractive activity. Help us keep it that way to preserve their culture, heritage, and future generations. The threats to their small community of 700 people are significant since oil activity, and palm oil monoculture threaten their territory and survival. This has meant a shortage of animals and fish and contamination of their water sources. The implications are beyond preserving their culture and territories as the Siekopai Nation are the guardians of ancestral knowledge of the healing plants of the Amazon Rainforest and healing practices. We founded Kako Earth to protect indigenous nations, preserve their way of life and ancestral cultures, and ensure the transmission of their unique traditional knowledge from the elders to the younger generations. The founders have been living in the jungle with the Siekopai for several years to develop paths to wealth while preserving their beautiful culture, ensuring prosperity, and preventing extinction.
