KidsROAR is a Victorian Protective Behaviours Education Organisation that delivers engaging programs focussing on Personal Safety 4 Kids. Our Protective Behaviours Program is an age appropriate personal safety and child abuse prevention program suitable for children from the age of three, and for people with special needs. Education on Personal Safety for Kids is vital as 1 in 5 children will experience sexual abuse before their 18th birthday (Pereda, et, cl 2009) with the most vulnerable age for abuse being between 3-8 years of age. Our dynamic, caring team of professionals visit childcare centres, kindergartens, schools and community groups to conduct programs that aim to empower children with protective behaviours that will help ensure their own personal safety. Educating children, parents, professionals and individuals in the community with an evidence based, early intervention program, significantly reduces childrens vulnerability to family violence and sexual abuse. We also believe that a three-way partnership between school, home and community is the most effective way to deliver a consistent message about Personal Safety 4 Kids.
