KIPP DFW is a free, open-enrollment, college-preparatory public charter school system. As part of the Knowledge is Power Program (KIPP), a national network of 209 high-performing public, open-enrollment charter schools educating nearly 90,000 students in 20 states and the District of Columbia, KIPP DFW benefits from shared best practices with colleagues across the nation and a network of over 80 college partnerships. The Mission of KIPP Dallas-Fort Worth Public Schools (KIPP DFW) is to equip students from educationally under-resourced communities with the knowledge, skills, and character traits to succeed in college and careers in order to positively impact our community. We envision KIPP DFW will have a transformational impact on the city of Dallas. It will prove the possible to city leaders and education entities setting a replicable example of excellence. Perhaps most importantly, KIPP DFW students will serve as role models to their families and communities. Our college graduates will return to their communities demonstrating the impact that education has had on their own lives and working to raise the standards and opportunities for growth.
