The terminal provides handling and storage of containers, heavy-lift & project cargo, also container freight station operations and certified empty container depot services. In 2023 560.000 TEU were handled by Klaipedos Smelte, including transhipment cargo for the neighboring countries of the Baltics and Scandinavia. MSC Ingy, a containership of 19.500 TEU and L.O.A.=400 m, is the largest vessel ever accommodated by the terminal.
