KMK Strategies, LLC, is a Sacramento-based fundraising and consulting firm specializing in candidates, organizations, non-profits, and coalition development. CEO and founder Kate Kerner has worked in Democratic politics in various capacities over the last fifteen years raising money at the state, federal and local level. She is action-oriented with strong attention to detail and effective communication skills. Her ability to develop and maintain relationships with donors and stakeholders, in addition to excellent client and project management skills allows her to always reach her goal. Kerner also works to maximize professional connections while fostering new relationships to form coalitions & support around issues, organizations, and candidates alike. She has participated in a wide variety of political campaigns and positions, most recently serving as Finance Director for the California Democratic Party (CDP). During her tenure at CDP, Kate played an integral role in three statewide coordinated campaigns, assisting most notably with the passage of Proposition 30, the rejection of Proposition 32, and the gain of 9 out 10 targeted Democratic Congressional seats. Kerner has also managed large scale events statewide, State and National Conventions, as well as receptions and traditional fundraising events.
