Kode Biotech Limited is a private company established in 1996 to commercialise and license Kode™ Technology. Kode Biotech Ltd is the licensor of existing, and developer of new Kode™ Technology. Kode™ Technology is a multifunctional 'nanotechnology paint'​ that is the easiest, fastest, most versatile, and controllable platform for temporary modification of any cell, virus, and/or surface (biological or non-biological) within a few hours enabling new and better therapeutics, diagnostics and consumer products. No special equipment or processes are required with Kode™ Technology as modification happens spontaneously on contact without affecting vitality or functionality. Rapid biosurface modification offers significant opportunities for innovation and product improvement in virtually every area of the life sciences. In 2015, Kode Biotech Ltd was named as New Zealand's "Supreme Innovator of the Year"​ for its contribution to an anti-cancer treatment that is currently in Phase1/2a clinical trials
