Kyung Hee University

Founded on May 18, 1949, with the guiding principle of "Creating a Civilized World," Kyung Hee University has stood as a beacon of scholarship and peace, creatively integrating academic excellence with practical engagement to contribute to a more peaceful global society. Over the past 75 years, the university has upheld its legacy as both a scholarly and social institution dedicated to advancing human civilization. The university expanded further, opening the International Campus in 1979 and the Gwangneung Campus in 1984, fostering a comprehensive and future-oriented academic framework. Today, Kyung Hee University is one of South Korea’s leading comprehensive universities, home to 34,388 undergraduate students, 8,809 graduate students, and 1,378 full-time faculty members. It operates 23 colleges, 95 departments, and 15 graduate schools, continuing its commitment to academic excellence and global engagement (as of 2024).
