The City Employees Club of Los Angeles was created in 2001 by the parent company, the Los Angeles City Employees Association (LACEA). LACEA is one the nation's largest not-for-profit voluntary employee benefits association (VEBA) and was founded in 1928. The Club connects government employees in California by building a community-oriented network of insurance, discounted benefits and services. Markets include City of Los Angeles, Los Angeles Department of Water & Power (LADWP), County of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Unified School District and State employees of California government agencies. It is also home to the world famous Alive! Newspaper that celebrates the lives of city employees. Its headquarters is located in Los Angeles, California.
