LABLAB

LABLAB is a research and design think tank dedicated to understanding the social, ecological and spatial transformations in the Nordic and Baltic Sea Region. LABLAB explores the potential of linking theory and practice to identify and work within new classifications and configurations of the built and unbuilt environments. From our point of view there are no more borders between urban and rural, between local and global, or between digitalization and spatial transitions. The only remaining borders, are the those that still make us believe in a solid state of modernity. At LABLAB we coalesce disciplines and expertise in cross-sectorial collaborations to shape new grids and typologies enabling social, ecological and spatial transitions. Social planning – We develop place-specific analyses and tools of rural and urban environments as entry-points in an explorative approach. Strategic communication – We create cross-border collaborations that include, engage and create understanding throughout the process. Innovation – We plan for long-term conditions for innovation on local and regional levels that go hand in hand with Agenda 2030 and a climate neutral European Union 2050. Cross-sectorial collaboration – We activate conditions and manage cross-sectorial collaborations around issues concerning local and regional development. We are: Daniel Urey daniel.urey@lablab.se Alexander Marek alexander.marek@lablab.se Christina Hoffmann christina.hoffmann@lablab.se Internship?
