LC Paper is a catalan group specialised in tissue paper and kraft paper manufacturing. The main plant, located in the town of Besalu, features three machines: the MP3, a crescent-former tissue machine which produces 30.000tn/year at 2,76m of width; the MP2, a fourdrinier tissue machine with 3,05m of width and a production capacity of 40.000tn/year; and the MP4, a tissue converting machine. LC Paper has achieved the lowest levels of energy and water savings in the paper industry. A water consumption of 2.5 m3/t along with a power consumption of 1,350 kWh/t led LC Paper to obtain the prestigious Pulp and Paper International Award in 2011. On the top of that, LC Paper has also developed an in-house tissue manufacturing process called OnePly. It is an eco-friendly, single-layer tissue product with fewer fibers, less energy & water consumption but the same absorption capacity than traditional tissue paper. Besides our parent company, our group is also comprised by GironaPaper, a paper bags manufacturer based in the town of Sarrià de Ter; and Confirel, a company dedicated to the management of cogeneration power plants. Together, we are driven forward by a team of more than 140 individuals.
