Le Bon Vin was founded in 1986 when French native and anglicised Breton, Patrick Jouan, started selling wine out of his spare bedroom with little more than £5 in his pocket. Building up an extensive network of trade and retail customers over the years, the company has grown from strength to strength and Patrick along with his Yorkshire-born wife, Dianne, employ a tight-knit group of staff. This combination of the French passion for wine and northern family values has allowed us to grow into one of the most respected wine suppliers in the north of England. Today, we operate out of our Sheffield shop and warehouse nestled in the shadows of the old iron foundries, close to the Meadowhall shopping centre. As a member of the French buying group Cavavin, we have access to hundreds of the best, family-owned, single-estate, French vineyards at extremely competitive prices. We import all of our own wines, cutting out the cost of a middleman supplier. This year, we have added several new additions to our range that take their place alongside some ever-present favourites. As always, our knowledgeable and dedicated buyers have been keenly following the developments in the world of viniculture, enabling them to source top-quality products and avoid the factory-produced wines you might find elsewhere.
