leeds arts university is the only specialist arts university in the north of england and has been delivering high quality art and design provision for over 160 years. we are proud of the vibrant and dynamic culture that has developed and matured since the university was founded as leeds school of art in 1846. previously named leeds college of art, the college gained university status in 2017. we have committed staff who help to create and uphold the values that are fundamental to our success. we feel it is most important to remain student-centred, and this value is a driver behind all of our aspirations. our students are global ambassadors for us, their success is our success.
