Dating back to the 1300's, Lennoxlove House reflects the myriad of family, political and social influences which have shaped Scottish history. Throughout the centuries, the House has been owned by the Maitland family, the Blantyres and most recently the Duke and Duchess of Hamilton, who, in 2006, began an extensive renovation project to bring renewed life and polish to the House. As a result, the House has been restored to its former glory; the magnificant design detail introduced by the architect Robert Lorimer has been augmented by the elegance of the interior design detail by John Fowler of Colefax and Fowler.
