Grupul Editorial Humanitas (Humanitas Publishing house) is the most important romanian publishing house in the field of humanities: philosphy, religion, social & political sciences or psychology. During its first years, Humanitas mainly published authors from the Romanian diaspora, whose works had been subject to censorship or banning in Communist Romania (Emil Cioran, Mircea Eliade, Eugène Ionesco)
