Life Ki-do Martial Arts

Through the practice of martial arts and our unique Tools for Life system, Life Ki-do empowers children, teens and adults to become their personal bestfrom the inside out. Our social emotional learning system, Tools for Life, is at the heart of what we do helping our students develop focus & mindfulness, confidence, resilience, and social intelligence (empathy, compassion and kindness). This means Life Ki-do students learn to trust their inner natural strength and abilities while also learning to work together respectfully. They go into the world confidently, looking to their inner guide, rather than peers and outside influences, for validation and motivation. Through our unique blend of martial arts, our students also develop a strong, safe body while learning how to breathe, relax and flow on and off the mats. The foundation of what we teach is Systema, a Russian Martial Art, which is based on breath, fluidity, and posture. With Systema as our underlying principle, our Life Ki-do program also incorporates Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Karate, Tai Chi, Qigong, and self-defense.
