Los Angeles Neighborhood Initiative (LANI)

LANI partners with residents, businesses, community groups, and local leaders to plan, design, fund and build walkable, green, safe neighborhoods with equitable access to resources, open spaces, public transit, and economic opportunity. The hallmark of LANI's program is our combination of expert project management with deep community outreach that empowers local stakeholders and generates substantive communal decision-making. We educate stakeholders so that together we can efficiently balance varying interests with on-the-ground realities, political considerations, and constraints such as timeline and budget, resulting in completed projects with high levels of community support and satisfaction. Founded in 1994, LANI has helped revitalize more than 45 low and mixed-income neighborhoods in Los Angeles County.
