the load transfer construction method (ltcm) is a patented construction method that combines the benefits of a concrete frame building with the construction speed and design flexibility of light gauge steel framing. this innovative technique is set to revolutionise the way australia builds "type a" class 2 buildings. built in “reverse” the initial load bearing capacity of the building is taken up by the use of light gauge steel framing and a metal formwork deck which creates all internal/external walls and temporary formwork for strategic concrete columns and blade walls. voids are formed over the columns and blades for simultaneous pouring with the concrete slab. the next floor of framing can begin installation the day after concrete has been poured. once the concrete floors and columns have reached design strength, shear heads in the frames are disengaged, transferring the load bearing capacity of the building to the concrete structure providing a “type a” concrete frame building in a significantly reduced construction period. for further information please visit our website at www.ltcm.com.au
