Lundakarnevalen/The Lund Student Carnival is said to be the world's largest recurring student event with approximately 5 700 volunteers students and revenues of close to four million USD. Every fourth year around 5500 students volunteer for creating a fantastic 3-day carnival in Lund, Sweden. The Lundagård park in central Lund is turned into a carnival area with a lot of different entertainment shows, artists, food and beverage-tents, night clubs and much more. The last carnival was held in May of 2018 and was visited by over 400 000 people. The next carnival will be held 20-22 May 2022 with the overall theme being the "Catastrophic Carnival" (Swedish: Katastrofalkarneval).
