Established in 1895 by Håkon Lund, Lunds Tivoli is the largest and oldest funfair in Norway. Unlike the rest of Europe, where independent showmen run individual rides, stalls and food outlets, Lunds Tivoli operates their festivals autonomously. Based primarily in Norway, their season runs from February through October. During the winter months they have opened in various destinations around the world such as Dublin, Japan, Bahrain, and most recently Hyde Park in London. Lunds Tivoli is owned and operated by Lund Gruppen Holding AS which also manages several other companies including Rogaland Fritidspark AS, a theme park located outside Stavanger on the West Coast of Norway and Lund Gruppen Arrangement AS, concert promoters based in Oslo who also offer a complete range of festival inventory for rent.
